one of our gym class units in high school was tennis and the school’s tennis courts were right on this pretty busy road and i’m so atrociously bad at every sport that there were multiple times where i’d hit it over the fence and it’d land on the windshield of an oncoming car, bounce, but sometimes it would bounce in the same direction as the car was going so the car would hit it again. one time it hit a cop car. other times i’d hit it in the opposite direction and it’d land in some person’s yard, never to be seen again.
